Beth Martin, President
Beth has been an active member of JLM for 13 years, with placements in Youth Leadership Bibb County, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and as a Provisional Advisor. She has also served as the Corresponding Secretary, Communications Chair and President-Elect. She holds a BA from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree from Georgia College and State University. Beth and her husband, Jonathan, have two children, Harrison (age 9) and Tripp (age 8). When not serving as the High School Instructional Support Instructor at First Presbyterian Day School, Beth enjoys baking, reading, college football and spending time with her family.
Jennifer Haskell, President-Elect
Jennifer joined JLM in 2002 and has served as Chair in the following areas: Arrangements, Website, Placements, and Nominating. She holds a BBA from the University of Georgia and is an internal auditor for Central GA Health System. Jennifer and her husband, George, have one child, Nathan (age 4). She loves playing soccer with the Macon Soccer Club and Macon’s Women Soccer League, as well as traveling, shopping and photography.
Kim Emener, Communications Chair
Kim has been in JLM for six years, serving as a Heritage Elementary volunteer, Market Place Publicity Chair-Elect and Chair, Communications Council Member at-Large, and Community Magazine Editor-Elect and Editor. She holds a BBA from Mercer University and an MBA from Georgia College & State University. She works at Smith & Helwys Publishing, Inc. Kim and her husband, Scott, have a son, Austin (age 8) and a daughter, Kendall (age 5). Kim loves sewing and baking.
Holli Edwards, Corresponding Secretary
Holli has been a member of JLM since 2003. Her placements have included Community Grants, Market Place Treasurer, and Provisional Development Chair-Elect. She has also served on the JLM Board as Fund Development Chair and Provisional Development Chair. She also serves on the Board at the Museum of Arts & Sciences. She holds a BS from Georgia College and currently works as VP/Controller at Piedmont Community Bank. Holli’s family consists of husband, Chris, stepdaughter, Emily (age 12), and a new baby in September.
Holly Collins, Fund Development Chair
Holly has been an active JLM member for three years, and has served as the Marketplace Treasurer-Elect and Marketplace Treasurer. She holds a BBA from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree from Georgia College & State University. She is a manager at Mauldin & Jenkins, CPAs. Holly’s family consists of husband, Brent, and their son, Braxton (age 2). Some of her favorite hobbies include spending time with her family, shopping and cooking.
Julia Magda, Nominating/Training
Julia has been a JLM member for six years. She and her husband, Martin, have one daughter, Ella (age 4). She holds BBA and JD degrees from Mercer University and is a Partner at Sell & Melton, LLP. Her JLM placements have included Market Place Decorations, Finance Council's Member-at- Large, Independent Placement for Macon Outreach at Mulberry, Nominating & Training Chair- Elect, League Leaves staff writer, and Recording Secretary for the JLM Board. Julia also serves on the Boards of the Career Women’s Network, Children’s Center at Mulberry, and Leadership Macon Advisory Board.
Heena Patel, Placement
Heena has been a JLM member for four years and served on the board as Placement Research Chair- Elect. Her placements have included Kids Boutique Chair, Provisional Advisor, and Cooking for a Cause Chair. She holds a BS from the University of Georgia and a Master’s in Physical Therapy from The Medical College of Georgia. Heena’s family includes husband, Sarjit, and their children, Sajan (age 10), Jayan (age 8) and Sareena (age 4). Heena volunteers at her children’s schools, Jay’s Hope, Macon Yaar, and sits on the Boards of Stratford Academy and The Children's Hospital.
Lauralen Avery, Provisional Development
Lauralen has been a member of Junior League since 2004. Her placements have included Provisional Advisor, Provisional Development Chair-Elect, Membership Satisfaction, League Liaison, Children’s Hospital and Reach Out and Read. She holds a BA from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian College and a Graduate Certificate in Conference & Meetings Management from the University of Georgia. She currently works at the Macon Marriott City Center Hotel as Sales Account Manager. Lauralen also studies at Savannah College of Art and Design to satisfy her “unquenchable passion” for photography.
Mary Charles Dunn, Recording Secretary
Mary Charles has been a League member for 8 years, and has served in the following areas: Macon Volunteer Clinic, Membership Mentor, Market Place Committee, Market Place Chair-Elect, Member at Large Finance Council, Resource Development Chair-Elect, and Resource Development Chair. She and her husband, Emory, have one son, George (age 2). Mary Charles has a BFA from Valdosta State University. She currently works as a Client Service Associate at Morgan Keegan. She loves spending time with her family, shopping, going to the beach and her new venture with Stella & Dot Jewelry!
Ashley Griffin, Treasurer
Ashley has been an active JLM member for five years. She and her husband, Ryan, have two children, Bennett (2 ½) and Gray (4 months). She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS. JLM placements have included community correspondent, community magazine editor-elect & editor. Ashley current works as a mommy and enjoys traveling, playing tennis, spending time with friends and family, and UGA football.
