By concentrating our volunteer efforts, the Junior League of Macon, Inc. will be a significant force in improving literacy and school readiness in the Middle Georgia community through school partnerships, education, fund raising, advocacy, and hands-on projects. Touch a Truck, April 18

Few events in Central Georgia are as eagerly anticipated by children as the Junior League of Macon's Touch a Truck. Here is your child's chance to see, hear, touch and climb on trucks and vehicles of all types. Events in the past have included ambulances, dump trucks, helicopters, cherry pickers, bomb squad vehicles and so much more! Learn more here.

Community-Wide Book Club

Last year, The Junior League of Macon hosted its first ever Community-Wide Book Club focused on Lean In, by Sheryl Sandberg. The League hosted five discussion groups lead by local female leaders who encouraged the group to talk about challenges women face in leadership and the workplace. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive and the need for such a program was evident. The League will be hosting another book club in the Spring of 2015. Stay tuned to our website and blog for more details!
